Inelastic Corrections Testing¶
Prerequisites
Download the ISIS Sample Data
Container Subtraction tab¶
Time required 1 - 3 minutes
Go to
Interfaces>Inelastic>CorrectionsGo to the
Container SubtractiontabWith the Sample combo box set to
Fileclick browse and select the fileirs26176_graphite002_redfrom the Sample Data folderWith the Container combo box set to
Fileclick browse and select the fileirs26174_graphite002_redfrom the Sample Data folderClick
RunThis should plot a blue subtracted line on the embedded plot. A workspace ending in
_redshould be producedChange the
Spectrumvalue and the plot should be updated with the corresponding workspace indexCheck that when clicking
Plot Current Preview, it will open a pop-up window with the current preview plotIn the
Output Options, selectOpen Slice Viewerusing the down arrow, it should open the Slice Viewer with the generated datasetIn the
Output Options, selectPlot 3D Surfaceusing the down arrow, it should open a surface plot for the generated datasetIn the
Output Options, select indices50-51. A red asterisk should appear, preventing you from usingPlot SpectraIn the
Output Options, select indices49-50. It should be possible to clickPlot Spectrato plot a two spectra graph
Calculate Monte Carlo Absorption Tab¶

1.0Sample Thickness, Container Front Thickness and Container Back Thickness should be
0.1Sample mass density should be
1.0. The Sample formula should beH2-OContainer mass density should be
6.0. The Container formula should beVClick
Runand wait.A group workspace ending in
_Correctionsshould be created. Keep this workspace for the Apply Absorption Corrections test.In the
Output Options, the combo box should have four entries ending in_ass,_assc,_acscand_acc.In the
Output Options, try using thePlot WavelengthandPlot Angleoptions.
Apply Absorption Corrections Tab¶

Apply Absorption Correctionstab.With the Sample combo box set to
